Google. Famous iconic brand
Nothing special can be said about Google, except for the humble known truth that Google is one of the three most famous brands in the world.
But it all started so simply. Quite by accident, while working on a completely different project, Larry Page and Sergey Brin came up with a very original idea (by the way, at the suggestion of their scientific supervisor, who undeservedly remained unknown).
Previously, all search engines on the Internet identified the importance of a site page only by the number of words requested (in other words, if you searched for the word "slippers", then a site page where the word "slippers" was mentioned five times was ranked higher than a page on another site, where slippers were mentioned only three times).
And Page and Brin created a system that took into account how many other sites on the Internet link to a given page for a given request. What follows is a lot of technical, uninteresting information that few people understand, so it’s easier to say that in the end Page and Brin created an interesting system that made it much easier to find the information you need on the Internet.
But the brand name "Google" is truly extraordinary. After all, this unknown word means the number 1 followed by a hundred zeros. I wonder how many people in the world knew the word "google" before Page and Brin used it?
In general, people began to actively use Google, although the search engine was still in a testing version. And the more people used Google search, the higher the interest of businessmen grew. Google's revenue grew day by day and the company soon became one of the most famous companies in the world.
A very simple story, but few companies can boast of the same success. Even the Oxford Dictionary considered it necessary to add a new verb to the English language: "to google", which is scientifically explained as "using Google to search the Internet".
Now (as always) the Google brand means quality, simplicity and ease of use, that is, what the famous search engine has conquered users all over our planet, although Google products have long been not limited to the World Wide Web.
