Pixar. Famous iconic brand

We would like to immediately dispel a certain myth regarding Pixar. Now the iconic brand is associated with the names of George Lucas and Steve Jobs. Yes, these two great people really participated in the life of Pixar, but they did not at all make the Pixar brand iconic. Lucas needed the animation studio only as an appendage to create some special effects for his own films, while Jobs planned for Pixar to do the software.

And the real heroes of Pixar are Ed Catmull, Alvy Ray Smith, John Lesseter and others. These gifted madmen saw the possibilities of computer animation at a time when the very phenomenon of animation did not exist at all. What else could these people do but put their faith into practice? And they did it and showed the whole world what computer animation can do.

Of course, everything at Pixar (which originally had a different name - LucasFilm Computer Graphics) did not work out right away, and Catmull, Smith and Lesseter went to their Olympus for a long time and their path was not easy, but they were so devoted to their work, their god - computer animation that their efforts simply could not fail to bear well-deserved results.

However, Pixar is not only about great and cutting-edge cartoons created using computer animation. Pixar is also the inventor of many different technical and software "gadgets", without which the current computer graphics and animation simply would not exist. Even the name "Pixar" is just one of many such inventions (that's how the digital film printer was named).

So it all started with small animated shorts (like Luxo Jr., where the famous Pixar lamp appears, or mind-blowing even today, Geri’s Game), which won big awards, and now Pixar can boast of such large and famous projects as Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., Cars, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, WALL-E, Ratatouille and others. In addition, Pixar participated in the work on such movie hits as Titanic, The Lord of the Rings and The Matrix.

However, listing all the films and cartoons does not make sense. The cult Pixar brand does not require any proof - the name speaks for itself, but how much work goes behind the name is worthy not only of some kind of cult, but also of real respect.
