McDonald`s is one of the most famous brands in the world today. He even became a symbol of America and the so-called "American way of life". For other countries, for sure!
At the same time, McDonald`s is now one of the most scandalous brands. Indeed, with the existence of many companies producing fast food, the most attacks are made on McDonald`s.
On the one hand, McDonald`s undoubtedly deserves criticism. After all, its products really contribute to obesity. On the other hand, the culprit of the problem is not McDonald's at all, but the way of life that modern society leads (which arose primarily from the American way of life). McDonald`s only offered humanity what it wanted - a quick and tasty meal, preferably also inexpensively.
And the history of the McDonald`s brand is just a confirmation of the above.
It all started with the fact that Dick and Maurice MacDonald opened their first restaurant in San Bernardio (which is located in California). The peculiarity of this restaurant was that the McDonald brothers offer visitors simple and quickly prepared food - hamburgers, malt drinks, fried products.
The residents of San Bernardio really liked the McDonald's restaurant, so the brothers soon launched their own business, opening several more branded stores in California.
However, the real success came to McDonald's with Ray Kroc, who bought the business from the McDonald brothers and made McDonald's world famous. Ray Kroc was a fan of Henry Ford and a very ambitious person, so the business for him was almost a war. “Quality,” said Kroc, “is the neatness of the services offered.” And this service attracted even more people to McDonald`s. So soon McDonald`s revenues increased significantly. But Kroc put almost all the money he earned into production, which allowed McDonald`s to eventually spread around the world.
Under the leadership of Ray Kroc, McDonald's has become a world famous brand. True, as soon as McDonald`s conquered the world, another problem fell on it - humanity began to take health seriously. And, of course, in the first place, McDonald's became the enemy of healthy lifestyle supporters, although the company offered humanity only what people themselves demanded. And often the reason for the negative attitude towards McDonald's was not that the company was guilty of obesity problems for many people, but that other companies really wanted to take the place of McDonald's.
There is a lot to be said about the food that McDonald's sells is not very healthy. However, the popularity of the brand and branded products does not decrease, because the desire of people to eat tasty and fast food has not gone away, and every day millions of people (more precisely, almost 50 million people in 119 countries in 30,000 thousand restaurants every day) consume McDonald's branded products.
And in the near future, the McDonald's brand will continue to be popular, at least as long as the so-called American way of life exists.
