Wolveine owner Viktor Krause worked hard on the order and ended up with the now very famous suede. Well, after that I decided to make inexpensive, but strong shoes from suede. Just right for everyday life.
Even more surprising is the name given to Hush Puppies branded low shoes. The fact is that "Hush Puppies" means "barking dog." It was actually the name of the corn cakes that American farmers fed their dogs (dogs began to bark from hunger, and in order to somehow appease them, farmers fed them these very Hush Puppies). But the humor is that the expression "Hush Puppies" also means "tired legs" among Americans. Jim Newr, Victor Krause's manager, got this unusual name just from a farmer friend of his when he was visiting him. And the purpose of his trip was precisely the sale of unusual suede low shoes.
At first, Jim Newr laughed at his friend's suggestion, but then, on reflection, he decided that the name Hush Puppies was the best fit for branded low shoes.
Well, when people saw unusual low shoes made of suede on the shelves, they really liked these shoes (and not only for the price). And the strange name - Hush Puppies - is well remembered.
So it was thanks to the invention of Viktor Krause that low shoes made of suede entered our lives.
Now Hush Puppies branded shoes are sold in as many as 80 countries around the world (this is only official), and even eminent people such as Kevin Spacey or Nicolas Cage wear them with pleasure.
